The INTEC Companies, Inc. designed renovations to the Maryland Motor Vehicle Administration’s (MVA) Glen Burnie facility, which included relocation of existing maintenance operations into a newly renovated building. The work performed by INTEC was under subcontract to Johnson, Mirmiran & Thompson’s (JMT) INTEC performed the following tasks: |
|
 |
- Analyzed the MVA’s functional programs to determine their space needs.
- Field surveyed the existing facility to determine space availability, preservation of existing functions in the space and demolition requirements.
- Developed Architectural, Structural, Mechanical and Electrical construction documents for pricing and contractor build-out.
INTEC’s specific services included manipulating the client’s requirements to develop office space within an existing garage structure. The program required us to fit the office walls into a space while preserving load bearing masonry walls.
This project is typical of a substantial portion of the services INTEC provides; that is, helping clients maximize the use of their available space to achieve program objectives.
